I've got some of M.E. Shirley's best basics; the Marcus tank, Sanders jacket, and Bennet sweater are major daily staples, and the Wellsley dress especially is amazing for dressing up a bit. I've now added Edith to both those lists. It's a special piece, but I don't feel like it's so much that I can't wear it just because I want to.
The dress has a subtly oversized A-line shape that is SO flattering, and the fit is incredible (repeat x100--I'm not sure I look better in anything). I love the triangle in the back; it kept me cool at a midday summer wedding (and I got a lot of compliments at the reception). The fabric is neither too light nor too heavy, and the colors are exactly right. The cutouts on the sides lend it movement and flair.
I adore this dress, and I'm so glad I added it to my spring order at the last minute. I wasn't sure I could pull off that much color (I'm a dyehard black and neutrals girl), but the stripes sort of magically blend into me rather than drowning me out. Edith is so comfortable, and yet I still feel like I look "nice." I even look tall sans heels, and the dress highlights all the best parts of my (tiny, board-flat) figure without any weird, Kardashian-style clinging. It's a grownup dress: more sensual than sexy (but it is sexy). A classic and necessary addition to any wardrobe, Edith is ready for spring all on her own and just needs a light jacket to transition into fall. Definitely among Lindsey's best.
