I've worn this twice now that the weather is a tiny bit cooler, and I'm as in love with it as I thought I would be. It's a lot like the Sanders jacket; if you love your Sanders jacket, you're going to want Esme for breezy fall nights or chilly days (and, if you live in Austin like I do, winter, too).
The pockets are giant (but don't get in the way), the sleeves are the perfect length (if they were longer, they'd brush up against and get caught on things), and the shape just makes me feel so f-ing cool. Mine is made in black twill, which I love, but mostly I'm commenting on the shape. It's oversized, which I'm really looking forward to playing with. I have several sweaters and dresses that just don' t work with other jackets (because they're kind of oversized themselves or that flare oddly under my skinny, short-ish leather jacket, which is my usual go-to fall jacket. But, while I'm obviously not throwing that leather jacket out, I think it might get replaced by Esme. Really easy to wear, menswear inspired but still feminine, and (as always) super comfortable and flattering.
Bonus: Esme dresses things up. Like, today I'm wearing her with a t-shirt and jeans that I usually wear when I just don't really feel like getting dressed. But I feel totally put together with Esme over an outfit in which I usually feel schlumpy! It's awesome.
